The sheltered Glen of Flowerdale is home to a wide variety of plant and animal life. A number of new footpaths have been created recently. The lands hereabouts have been in the hands of the Mackenzies of Gairloch for hundreds of years. Much work has been done by the estate to improve and restore the native woodland making this area and the walks very attractive.
